1939/1940 Ford Station Wagon

BEFORE

This 1939 Ford Station Wagon apparently spent most of its life outside with the driver's side facing north, even the frame rail was rusted through.  This is the way it was found near Dotsero, Colorado, on the western slope of the Rockies. It was purchased from pictures in 1993 for $475.00.

"ALMOST" AFTER

Every piece of wood was replaced with hand selected bird's eye maple and ash.  A new frame was located and modified with independent front suspension, disc brakes, small block 350 engine with automatic transmission.  The Woodie is now air conditioned with stereo and leather seats, 95% complete.
